The Project "SaxoCell", a Precision Therapy Cluster for Saxony, Germany, aiming at developing living therapies has received funding from the "Clusters4Future" of the BMBF with T-CURX as an associated SME partner

Today, it is announced that T-CURX is an associated SME partner (small-medium-sized entity) in the Precision Therapy Cluster for Saxony, Germany, called SaxoCell®. (https://www.saxocell.de/), which has received funding from the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, Federal Ministry for Education and Research, Germany) as part of the BMBF's competitive "Clusters4Future" initiative.

SaxoCell® focusses on attractive cell and gene therapy projects with highest levels of innovation, industrial feasibility and applicability, established industry contribution, and in order to positively impact the expansion of the cellular therapies in the federal state of Saxony, Germany.

The SaxoCell® project and consortium is dedicated to the core topic of cellular immunotherapy with genetically modified CAR-T cells using Sleeping Beauty technology based on a proof of concept established by the University Würzburg and T-CURX. Within the SaxoCell® Future Cluster, the value chain for genetically modified CAR-T cells using Sleeping Beauty technology is further developed for future commercialization and the benefit of patients in need of these precision living medicines.
